Bronwyn Excell

LPC, NCC, MS

Atlanta Psychotherapist for Adults, Couples & Executives

I work with adults, executives and business leaders, and couples who are often thoughtful, capable and accustomed to figuring things out - yet find themselves caught in emotional, relational or professional patterns that insight alone hasn’t changed. I believe therapy should offer both deeper understanding and practical pathways toward change as this is key to moving from reacting out of habit or past experience toward making more conscious choices.

MY APPROACH

I draw from evidence-based and established approaches allowing us to tailor therapy to you - whether we’re working with relationships, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, career challenges, parenting, or recurring patterns that leave you feeling stuck. My style is active and curious. I’ll listen carefully, ask questions, share observations, provide education and practical tools, and respectfully challenge you when it may help us see something differently.

Ultimately, my role isn’t to tell you what choices to make. It’s to help you better understand yourself, recognize where you have choice, and build confidence in your ability to create meaningful, sustainable change.

BACKGROUND & TRAINING

Psychotherapy is my second career, and my earlier professional and life experiences continue to shape how I work. Having lived and worked in several countries, I bring an appreciation for different perspectives and for the ways culture, identity, belonging and significant transitions can shape our experiences. This same background also gives me firsthand insight into career, leadership, responsibility and navigating change.

I earned my Master of Science in Counseling from the University of North Georgia and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and National Certified Counselor (NCC). My postgraduate training includes the Gottman Method, EFT, IFS, Schema Therapy, CBT, attachment-based approaches and other areas of individual and relationship therapy.
