WORKING TOGETHER TO DISCOVER

SELF
EMPOWERMENT

Cultivate the awareness and skills to live more intentionally

About

WELCOME

I'm honored you are here. I'm Bronwyn, a licensed professional counselor and the owner of Art of Choice Psychotherapy. I work in person with adults and couples in metro Atlanta and offer online therapy throughout Georgia. I support clients who are ready to consciously choose a new path – whether internally for themselves or in their relationships with others. To me, conscious choice means making deliberate decisions with full awareness of the options available. It allows us to act with intention, rather than react from impulse, habit, or past experience. Let's explore what's possible together.

TREATMENT APPROACHES

Emotions Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT identifies & transforms the negative emotional patterns that keep our relationships stuck in conflict. EFT emphasizes accessing and processing the underlying emotions, like fear or unmet needs, that drive these patterns. By fostering secure attachment and creating new, positive emotional experiences, EFT helps to build stronger bonds & create lasting change in relationships.

Gottman Method

Gottman Method strengths relationships by building a "Sound Relationship House," composed of: trust, commitment,
friendship, managing conflict, supporting dreams and creating meaning. It emphasizes understanding each partner's inner world, fostering positive interactions, and developing effective conflict resolution skills. This approach aims to help build lasting connection and navigate challenges constructively.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS views the mind as comprised of various "parts," each with its own unique perspective, feelings, and role. IFS aims to help individuals understand and heal these parts, fostering self-compassion and inner harmony. By accessing the "Self," a core of wisdom and compassion, individuals create healthier relationships with their parts and achieve greater emotional well-being and stability.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. It emphasizes the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, teaching individuals practical skills to challenge unhelpful thinking and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

Schema Therapy

Schema therapy identifies and seeks to change problematic deeply ingrained patterns of thinking and behaving developed in childhood. It addresses unmet emotional needs and heals early problematic schemas through experiential techniques and a therapeutic relationship that models healthy attachment. Individuals can develop healthier coping mechanisms and improve well-being.

Reality Therapy

Based on Choice Theory, reality therapy emphasizes that all behavior is driven by our attempts to satisfy five basic human needs: survival, love and belonging, power, freedom, and fun. It focuses on taking responsibility for our choices and actions, as these directly impact our relationships and overall well-being. By understanding these needs and making conscious choices, individuals can create more fulfilling and satisfying lives.

Public Workshops

When teams or groups feel stuck or struggle to meet their goals, working with a therapist can be a powerful way to break through barriers and build momentum. Many common challenges – such as miscommunication, unspoken expectations, emotional reactivity, clashing personalities, and unchecked assumptions – can quietly undermine progress and morale.

If you're a leader looking to create meaningful, lasting change within your group or team, my tailored workshops offer practical tools and strategies to improve performance, connection, and collaboration.
