LPC, NCC, MS
I offer individual and relationship therapy, both in-person and online. I approach our work together with genuine curiosity and a deep desire to understand you. Some of the questions I often explore with clients as we begin our journey together include:
-
What has your life experience been, and how has it shaped the way you show up today?
-
Which of these lessons do you want to carry forward, what would you like to change, and why?
-
What do you long for that you are not getting?
-
What will meaningful change look like for you and your relationships?
-
What are the barriers that may be standing in the way of change?
-
Whom do you admire and why?
I believe that understanding how we’ve become who we are today is the first step toward releasing ourselves from outdated stories and behaviors. We can thank them for the roles they’ve played, and gently place them on the shelf – acknowledged, but no longer steering our decisions. From this place of awareness, we’re free to make new choices. Choices grounded in our current circumstances, strengths, values, and aspirations. In this way, I see choice as an art form: a conscious creation of the life we wish to lead.
Psychotherapy is a second career for me. Before transitioning into this field, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Design in 2004. That same year, I immigrated from Australia to the U.K., where I worked in the design industry for over 15 years. After relocating to the U.S., I went on to complete a Masters of Science in Counseling and additional training in several modalities including the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), addiction therapy, family systems therapy, crisis and trauma counseling, and telehealth.
